Ron Edwards (born September 4, 1964) is an American game designer and theorist who was influential in the indie community. Games he has designed include Sorcerer and Trollbabe. He was co-founder of The Forge website, a hub of RPG theory discussion in the 2000s, and he developed GNS theory and its successor The Big Model. He also created the safety tools lines and veils in Sex and Sorcery (a supplement for Sorcerer).

More recently, he Kickstarted the game Circle of Hands and worked on Champions Now.

He resides in Sweden.
