Ghast

A ghast, a powerful undead similar to a ghoul from Dungeons & Dragons 5th edition.

A ghoul, occasionally ghast or lacedon, is a sort of creature (often undead or a sort of monstrous humanoid, occasionally a sort of demon) associated with graveyards and consuming human flesh.

The modern view of ghouls overlaps somewhat with other undead creatures who consume parts of living bodies, particularly zombies and vampires.

Ghouls are a type of enemy in games like Dungeons & Dragons.

The Ghoul is a playable Skin in Monsterhearts that is driven by a maddening hunger.

Other uses of the term[]

In Vampire: The Masquerade and Vampire: The Requiem, the term ghoul refers to living mortal humans who drink the blood of vampires. Drinking the blood grants them a fraction of the powers of a true vampire and means that they no longer age, but repeated exposure enslaves them to the will of the vampires, whom they often serve. Ghouls are an intrinsic part of vampire society in these games, and can be treated as friends, servants or mere property depending on the vampire whose blood they drink.
